LEXXOS DR: Discover the Lex of bones in Digital Radiology and go beyond bone densitometry...

The LEXXOS DR bone densitometer represents a cutting edge technology and a real progress towards a way of diagnosing osteoporosis by defining bone solidity, thanks to the qualification of the bone structure.

The best resolution ever obtained in bone densitometry: 127 µm.

Still benefiting from the Digital Flash Beam technology, the LEXXOS DR offers two exams mode: a resolution of up to 254 µm in BMD mode for bone densitometry applications and 127 µm in DR mode for all peripheral sites. Thanks to a new flat panel digital detector, the LEXXOS DR open access to extremities, thus paving the way to radiological applications. Switching from BMD to DR mode means going further than ever towards diagnosis.

An access to new applications in Implantology and Prosthesis Management.

Thanks to the image quality, the data immediate availability and the R.O.I increased diversity, the LEXXOS DR becomes a remedy to a great number of prosthetic failures.

Specific Interests

  • Implantology and prothesis management
The increase demand for orthopaedic surgeons to deal with osteoporotic fractures and the lack of crucial data concerning patient bone quality prior to surgery has necessitated the development of new applications.

    • Reduction of the complications of implant failure
As a remedy to a great number of prosthetic failures, the LEXXOS DR  responds to the constant concerns of the orthopaedic surgeons: the viability of the prosthesis implant.

The 127 µm resolution image combined with a colour-scale palette and accurate morphometric tools enable the surgeons to detect the most suitable area for fixing the implant.

    • Analysis of the evolution of the bone tissue surrounding the implant
The LEXXOS DR delivers accurate measurements of the aera surrounding the implant, identifying and following modifications of the BMD that could contribute to the failure in the viability of implant.
    • A better patients management
Thanks to those new applications, the LEXXOS DR :
      - helps anticipate a patient's need for a prosthesis
      - helps in the selection of implant
      - helps to detect implant loosening
